Table Input

Input:

Description

Nacelle Mass:

The mass of the nacelle. This is illustrated by 'Nacelle C.M.' in Conventional Upwind Turbine Layout.

Nacelle CoM X:

The X distance (downwind) from the local origin (tower top / yaw bearing) to the nacelle centre-of-mass. See NacCMxn in Conventional Upwind Turbine Layout.

Nacelle CoM Y:

The Y distance (lateral) from the local origin (tower top / yaw bearing) to the nacelle centre-of-mass. See NacCMyn in Conventional Upwind Turbine Layout.

Nacelle CoM Z:

The Z distance (vertical) from the local origin (tower top / yaw bearing) to the nacelle centre-of-mass. See NacCMzn in Conventional Upwind Turbine Layout.

Nacelle Volume (MHK turbines only):

The volume of the nacelle for use in buoyancy computations, a modelling option in OpenFAST for MHK turbines. As Flexcom is currently designed to work with wind turbines only, this input and the subsequent ones relating to centre of buoyancy, are not relevant.

Nacelle CoB X (MHK turbines only):

The X distance (downwind) from the local origin (tower top / yaw bearing) to the nacelle centre-of-buoyancy. This input is not relevant and may be left unchanged from the default.

Nacelle CoB Y (MHK turbines only):

The Y distance (lateral) from the local origin (tower top / yaw bearing) to the nacelle centre-of-buoyancy. This input is not relevant and may be left unchanged from the default.

Nacelle CoB Z (MHK turbines only):

The Z distance (vertical) from the local origin (tower top / yaw bearing) to the nacelle centre-of-buoyancy. This input is not relevant and may be left unchanged from the default.

Nacelle Projected Area X:

The nacelle projected area in the local X (downwind) direction, for use in drag computations.

Nacelle Projected Area Y:

The nacelle projected area in the local Y (lateral) direction, for use in drag computations.

Nacelle Projected Area Z:

The nacelle projected area in the local Z (vertical) direction, for use in drag computations.

Nacelle Projected Area X:

The nacelle drag coefficient in the local X (downwind) direction.

Nacelle Projected Area Y:

The nacelle drag coefficient in the local Y (lateral) direction.

Nacelle Projected Area Z:

The nacelle drag coefficient in the local Z (vertical) direction.

Nacelle CoD X:

The X distance (downwind) from the local origin (tower top / yaw bearing) to the nacelle centre-of-drag.

Nacelle CoD Y:

The Y distance (lateral) from the local origin (tower top / yaw bearing) to the nacelle centre-of-drag.

Nacelle CoD Z:

The Z distance (vertical) from the local origin (tower top / yaw bearing) to the nacelle centre-of-drag.
