Purpose

To specify resistance factors to be used in code checking.

Refer to Code Checking for further information on this feature.

Keyword Format

A block of two lines to specify the relevant resistance factors:

[MATERIAL=Gamma m]

[SAFETY=Gamma SC]

Gamma m and Gamma SC default to 1.15 and 1.26 respectively.

Description

Material (Gamma m):

The material resistance factor (γm) as per the relevant DNV standard. This value defaults to 1.15 if not specified.

Safety (Gamma SC):

The safety class resistance factor (γsc) as per the relevant DNV standard. This value defaults to 1.26 if not specified.
